Good Friday symbolizes the supreme and selfless sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ to strengthen the bonds of friendship, brotherhood and love between mankind and God.

Our Nation has experienced a much-needed rebirth during the Lenten season. Therefore, on this solemn occasion, let us rededicate ourselves to the noble ideals of love, peace and forgiveness; and strengthen the bonds of friendship, brotherhood and unity amongst the diverse peoples of our Nation.
