Vote for the APC to Get More – Ambode Urges Lagosians

Akinwunmi Ambode, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Lagos state, has said that an APC government at the centre presents the state with limitless possibilities for growth and development. In this light, he urged Lagosians to vote en masse for the APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll.

Mr. Ambode said this today when he was the Special Guest on a radio programme, “Evening Oyoyo with OPJ”, on Wazobia FM. “I congratulate all Nigerians for this victory. This is a victory for our democracy. Nigerians won this election with the power of our votes and we have succeeded at ensuring that every elected government will be conscious about its performance”.

“The government of General Buhari under the APC will bring positive change to the entire country. With a corresponding APC government here in Lagos, I assure you that the possibilities of impactful governance for Lagosians will be limitless”, Ambode said.

He added, “I implore Lagosians to vote for the APC and Akin Ambode on the 11th of April; this will remove bottlenecks on the path of our progress as a state and ensure rapid growth and development like never before”

“My vision is to improve and consolidate on the 16-year progress and excellence in governance recorded in Lagos. With direct support and unhindered benefits from the centre, this vision will be easily achieved. This is why I solicit your votes come April 11 to be part of this vision for a greater and more prosperous Lagos”‘ Ambode stated.

Ambode depicted his readiness to govern the state as he elaborated his plans of consolidation and improvement to his listening audience. He spoke on several issues including security, road network and traffic, taxing, infrastructure, housing, economy and tourism.

On taxation, Ambode said that his government, when elected, will not increase tax, but will condense taxes for easy payment, provide tax incentives and relief with the aim of removing the burden of multiple and irregular taxing.

He promised a Traffic Summit where government will meet with the stakeholders to together proffer emergency and temporary solutions, as well as long-term solutions to the traffic challenges in Lagos.

He further stated that his experience as a successful public administrator and financial engineer puts him in a best position to implement policies that will address the concerns in each sector and then set Lagos on the path of vertical growth.

In his conclusion, Ambode ended his interview by urging Lagosians to be “reasonable” in their choice of a leader by voting for the APC in the incoming gubernatorial election, and grab the present opportunity to make Lagos more prosperous for all.
