Mrs. Bolanle Ambode Seeks Economic Empowerment For Out-Of-School Adolescent Girls

Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, wife of the Governor of Lagos State has called for all hands to be on deck to stamp out violence and hardship against the out-of-school adolescents.


She advocated for economic empowerment as the only means of making them self-reliant and eventual employers of labour.


Bolanle commended the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, as well as Action Health Incorporated, for the great initiative and determined commitment towards improving the lives of women in Lagos State.


The commendation was given during the launch of the Lagos Strategic Action Plan to Empower Marginalized Adolescent Girls and graduation ceremony of 300 out-of-school girls from three slum communities in the state namely Ilaje-Bariga, Sari-Iganmu and Makoko, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Thursday, 29th September, 2016.
