The Ambassador of France to Nigeria, Mr. Denys Gauer paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. Mr. Denys Gauer who was full of enthusiasm expressed the interest of France in contributing to the economic growth of Lagos State.

Mr. Gauer visited Mr. Ambode in the company of the Consulate General of France and Head of Mission, Marcel Escure, Head of Regional Economic Department, Dominique Simon and the Commercial Counsellor. During the visit, the French Head of Regional Economic Department in Lagos, Mr. Francis Widmer, said that France is very interested in Lagos as it is the economic capital of Nigeria as well as West Africa.

He further mentioned that more French companies are already considering Lagos as a hub for their economic expansion. The companies are said to be interested in partnering the Lagos state government on infrastructural development.
