All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, and his running mate, Dr. (Mrs) Oluranti Adebule, today engaged the electorates in Surulere Local Government Area (LGA) and Itire-Ikate and Coker/Aguda Local Community Development Areas (LCDAs), in an interactive session today.
The issues raised in the meeting held at the Abibatu Mogaji Town Hall and Office Complex, bordered around better welfare for both the young and the elderly, improved infrastructure, youth engagement, and easier access to funding for businesses.
The APC gubernatorial candidate expressed confidence in the truth that, continuity of the APC government in Lagos will ensure the issues raised are sufficiently addressed. “I have heard and noted all you have said. Thankfully, our manifesto in the APC has all these adequately covered”, Ambode said.
He talked about his plans and programmes some of which included the Employment Trust Fund (ETF), Small Businesses Credit Guarantee Loan scheme and the re-introduction of vocational and technical curricula, among other plans all aimed at bettering the lot of the people.
The meeting was kicked off amidst dancing and excitement, and the productive interaction that ensued afterwards gave an insight into the government of inclusion promised by Ambode and the APC.
He concluded by assuring them to use his wealth of experience to consolidate the continuity of the steady progress the LGA and the entire state has enjoyed in the past 16 years, after which he solicited for their continued support to achieve a next-level Lagos.
