The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, today paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Honorable Tunde Salau at the family’s house in Magodo, Lagos. The APC party Chieftain and former House of Representatives Member from Epe, had died recently due to nagging headache complains. Until his death, he was a respected elder statesman and staunch supporter of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
The APC governorship candidate was received by the late Hon. Salau’s wife and first daughter, after which he expressed his deep sympathy for the loss.
“We do hope that you will take solace in the exemplary life led by Honourable Salau, and the legacy of selflessness and kindness that he left behind”‘, Ambode said.
He added that it is without any shred of doubt that he will forever be remembered as a hardworking and resourceful leader who used every influence he had to better the lot of the people and his community, adding that Epe in particular, and the state as a whole will sorely miss his impactful influence.
He prayed for the family that God almighty will give them the strength and fortitude to bear the great loss. He also promised stand by the family and help them throughout this moment of pain.
Ambode wrote thus on the condolence register, “He gave me the best support I could ever get. Your love for family was endless. May your story never end. God keep the rest of the Family. Good night Egbon”.
