Following complaints from residents on the perennial traffic jam that characterizes the Mile-12-Ketu axis on Ikorodu Road, the Lagos State Government embarked on the construction of medians along the corridor, which has since reduced traffic congestion to a large extent.

The Government also erected iron barricades along the Ketu-Ojota Corridor to discourage pedestrians from crossing the highway, thereby encouraging them to make use of the foot bridge.
