On Thursday, October 15, The Lagos State House of Assembly confirmed 37 cabinet nominees of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

The governor on Monday, September 21, presented to the state House of Assembly the list of those to work with him for the next four years.

The confirmation took place during plenary session, followed by the presentation of the report of the 15-man committee by chairman of the committee, Wasiu Sanni Eshinlokun. While presenting the report, Eshinlokun, revealed that all the nominees met with the committee and submitted copies of their CVs and certificates as requested.

He further explained that their credentials were thoroughly verified by the committee between Monday, October 5 to Friday, October 9, at the Lateef Jakande Hall within the premises of the Assembly.

The Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, consequently ordered the clerk of the House, to send a letter to the governor, notifying him that the nominees have been confirmed by the House.
