The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has expressed his interest in further exploring and expanding the economy of social entrepreneurship in Lagos.
He stated this while meeting with a set of young and innovative entrepreneurs in Lagos, some of which had been given awards of excellence and celebrated by Ambode’s LaRoche foundation.
“I acknowledge that the economy of social entrepreneurship in this state is one that has come to stay. I believe we can harness it to further add value to the society. It has the potential to give more mileage to the effort of any people-oriented government”, Ambode said.
After listening to more innovative programmes from each of the entrepreneurs, Ambode expressed readiness to work with all of them, promising to even create an enabling environment that will see to the making of more successful entrepreneurs.
He said, “I will work with you all. I urge you to create an institutional framework, with workable agendas, one where I will come in as a driver. I promise to give the political will and boost that will trigger the entrepreneurial potential of youths like you. More entrepreneurs will be created and encouraged, thus, complement the effort of government in other areas”
He thanked them for keeping faith with his gubernatorial intention and for believing in his cause.
