The youth leaders of the Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 20 local government areas (LGAs) and 37 local council development areas (LCDAs) of the state today met with gubernatorial flag bearer of their party, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, at the Party Secretariat, Acme road, Ogba, Lagos.

The youth leaders had gathered in unison to express their readiness to fully participate in the campaign efforts of the man they hailed as “a competent and blessed leader”, ahead of the 2015 elections in the state. Speaking on behalf of the 57-member team, the State APC Youth leader, Mr. Tayo Sanyaolu, thanked Mr. Ambode for his presence, and stated that he and his Comrades are ready to “contribute their quota in order to achieve victory come February”.

In his response, Akinwunmi Ambode noted that the youths are never negligible, since they makeup two-third of the pool of electorates, and he assured them of constant support and communication, that is, pre, during and even post-election.
He said: “I have always maintained that the youths’ constituency and their input is germane for government to thrive at all levels, and my presence here today proves that I hold this fact dear to heart”.
The gubernatorial candidate urged them to take their desire for participation in his campaign as a responsibility towards Lagos, in such a way that victory will be a guaranteed outcome.
He then donated a bus to facilitate their civic efforts, while urging them to be non-violent and remain united.

Also present at the meeting were the Party’s state Chairman, Chief Henry O. Ajomale, his deputy, Cardinal James Odumbaku, an APC National Woman Leader, Mrs. Kemi Nelson and an APC Senatorial Youth Leader, Ahmed Mohammed.

Meanwhile, the APC Lagos (UK Chapter), also donated a bus to support the campaign efforts of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Ambode.
