The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode,today gave an address at the Lagos Business School breakfast meeting.
The meeting was attended by top business executives and captains of industry.
Mr. Ambode assured that under his watch, Lagos will be open for bigger business and more participation by the organized private sector. He said Lagos state is committed to creating an enabling environment for all businesses to thrive and guarantee a win-win situation for all stakeholders.
He fielded questions from the leaders of the private sector on issues bordering on the economy, job creation, transportation, healthcare, education and public-private partnerships.
He explained extensively his programmes for Lagos state, which include the Employment Trust Fund and Project T.H.E.S.E (Tourism, Hospitality, Entertainment, Sports and Excellence). He also spoke on plans to handle challenges of traffic congestion, housing and healthcare.
He told the businesses leaders that they have a major part to play in taking Lagos to the next level and that the private sector is key to driving the economy.
The Managing Director of Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Mr. Bismarck Rewane, had earlier given an overview of the economy and projections for the future.
