The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Lagos state, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, today engaged the people of IJEDE in a rally organized by the community itself in support of his candidacy. Ambode was welcomed into the rally with palpable excitement of the people, after which he met with the Regent and High Chiefs of the community.
On behalf of the people, Regent Aliu Musediq and the Odofin of Ijede, Otunba Babatunde Ogunmuyiwa, both professed their confidence of Ambode’s victory at the polls, while assuring him of total support from the community.
Addressing the people, Ambode promised to continue the work of infrastructural development that will ensure the completion of ongoing roads projects and the commissioning of new ones. He said the next four years of governance in the state will be about the prosperity of the people, a move which he said will see to the implementation of people-oriented policies and community-based programmes that will then create of a thriving economy for each division and community in Lagos, the Ijede sub-division inclusive.
However, he enjoined them to commence their charge towards ensuring good governance by voting en masse for the APC Presidential ticket on March 28, in order to replicate excellent governance at the centre too.
