Akinwunmi Ambode, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for Lagos State and other candidates who emerged at the recently conducted primaries of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State met at the party secretariat at Acme Road, Ogba Ikeja. The meeting which was chaired by the Party Chairman, Chief Henry Ajomale, was summoned to familiarise the party’s flag bearers with the challenge ahead of them.
The Party Chairman in his remarks asked the party’s representatives at the next elections to start their campaign by reaching out to the other aspirants who lost during the primaries saying “they are still our Party members. We are one family and we must move forward and win the elections together”. He then urged the candidates to go out and meet the people of their constituencies and start their campaigns in earnest. He asked the candidates to go from street to street and door to door to sensitise their constituencies.
He asked the party flag bearers that they have a big task ahead of them and reminded them that they had only just scaled the first phase of the journey. He asked them to keep to the Party tenets and stressed that discipline and hardwork were essential to emerge victorious at the elections in 2015.
On his part, the Party’s Publicity Secretary, Joe Igbokwe, asked all the party’s representatives to go out and occupy their areas with promotional materials. He said they should make their constituencies feel their presence and the presence of the party.
The candidates assured the party of their willingness to work hard to win the elections and discussed other internal party issues.
