On Monday Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, showed his concern for an accident victim. The victim, Miss Anukam Angela, drove alone in a Toyota Corolla car at about 8:15am and lost control of the vehicle. The uncontrolled car ran into the median of the road along Osborne Road, Ikoyi, and somersaulted. Governor Ambode ordered his convoy to stop at the scene of the accident and stepped down from his own vehicle to assist the occupants of the car.

Immediately the Governor instructed the ambulance following his own convoy to attend to Miss Angela, who was in a state of shock and barely able to move or talk, and take her to the Lagos Island General Hospital for proper treatment. There Miss Angela was treated for minor injuries and finally discharged free of charge on the order of the Governor.
