Akinwunmi Ambode and members of his campaign team joined other party stalwarts and dignitaries to pay last respects to the late Honourable (Prince) Babatunde Salau, at a funeral service held in Ewu Elepe, Epe.
Until his death, Hon. Salau was a staunch APC chieftain in the state, a party leader in Epe and was greatly influential in promoting the political relevance of Epe.
A cross section of political leaders of the APC and traditional fathers were present at the service. These included Senator Gbenga Ashafa (Lagos-East), Hon. Demola Seriki, and Hon. Denge Anifowose, among others.
The officiating priest at the funeral service urged all present to never get weary of exercising acts of kindness, as that is the only legacy anyone could leave behind.
The entire Epe town rose in honour and respect for someone many described as a hero, a humble and forthright man.
