The people of Ibeshe in the Ikorodu division of Lagos state have expressed their solidarity with candidacy of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Lagos state, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. They said this today through the Oluibeshe of Ibeshe, His Royal Highness, Oba Richard Abayomi Ogunsanya, during Ambode’s courtesy visit to his palace.
In his address, Oba Ogunsanya said the town has always been a town of progressives and assured that the Ibeshe people are solidly behind the APC governorship hopeful that he described as an “experienced administrator”, who has the capability to match and even surpass the successes of the present government.
The Royal Father added that Ibeshe has enjoyed the developmental projects that have been brought to the town under the APC government in the last 16 years, and as such said, there must be continuity by voting for APC.
The Oba appraised their unity and collective nature in the town, and stated that as the reason why Ambode will undoubtedly get 100% votes from its people. However, he enjoined the “incoming governor” to fulfill his promises of focusing on building inner roads and upgrading the welfare of the people.
Ambode appreciated their gesture and assured them of taking the town to a new level. In the meeting that had the Baales, High Chiefs and community leaders present, he stated that the greater development that befits the town will come when the people truly exercise their practical support by voting for the APC at the centre and in the state in the forthcoming elections.
Amongst other promises of further development, Ambode promised to make Ibeshe land become a tourist centre, where there will be increased activities that will elevate the value and economy of the town, to the benefit of the people.
