“I WILL STAND BY AMBODE” – Fashola declares

The Governor of Lagos state, Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) has confidently assured Lagosians that he will stand by Akinwunmi Ambode because he is sure that the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos is not just only experienced in the matters of governance, but also that, he has been key to the amount of progress Lagos has enjoyed over the years.

The Governor said this today while giving account account of his stewardship to Lagos state in the past 100 days, the 28th edition of its kind.

“Akinwunmi Ambode has been key to most of the development and progress this state has achieved in the past 16 years; he is adequately experienced in the provision of good governance, and I confidently assure you that he will expertly steer the ship of continuity in Lagos state”, Fashola said.

He then added, “I will stand by Ambode, more importantly, you all should stand by him too and elect him as the next Governor of our state”.

Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and his running mate, Dr. (Mrs) Oluranti Adebule, were both present at the event to witness a detail of the progress the state has witnessed in the period under review.

While canvassing votes for the Ambode/Adebule gubernatorial ticket, Governor Fashola urged Lagosians “to stay away from bold ignorance, deception and bad governance and vote for the continuity of good governance that we’ve together built as well meaning Lagosians”.

The Governor had earlier enumerated the strides recorded in the state in the past 100 days as touching Power generation, Education, the Lagos HOMS Project, Welfare, Health, Security, and Sports.

He further berated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for being only interested in fueling lies, deception, and giving cosmetic responses, especially during election time.

He said, “The PDP candidate in Lagos constantly displays bold and stack ignorance. Rather, our candidate, Akin Ambode, and our party has constantly delivered all-time, these facts prove so. We are a government of all our people, not a government of ‘election time'”

Fashola finally remarked that a vote for Muhammadu Buhari, will complement their votes for Ambode, and thus, assure of “all-encompassing form of good governance”.
