Balogun Business Association Hosts Akinwunmi Ambode

The business men and women of the Balogun Business Association (BBA) in the International Centre of Commerce today hosted the All Progressives Congress governorship candiate in Lago, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, and his running mate, Dr. (Mrs) Oluranti Adebule, to show their love and support for their candidacy.

Speaking through their President, Chief Alex Obi Igbokwe, the BBA members said the support is hinged on their firm belief in the continuity of the government of the APC in Lagos.

“We deemed it fit to do this out of our love and belief in your capabilities and also to show appreciation and solidarity towards the APC. We are determined to defend our future in Lagos state by standing solidly behind the continuity of these good works that have always favored us”, stated Igbokwe.

One other Leader in the association, Mazi Okereke, even added that the association had thought it wise to vote for Change at the centre and then Continuity in the state, stating that as the only wise move to better their fortunes as well-meaning Lagosians and Nigerians.

“We have agreed within ourselves to vote for APC at all levels, because voting for Buhari will surely give Ambode the full support to help Lagos”, he said.

Ambode thanked the BBA leadership for the insightful gesture that seeks continuity of the tradition of excellence in Lagos. He particularly thanked the President and Alhaji Kasamu for playing pivotal roles in organizing the reception.

“You have done well by hosting me and Dr. (Mrs) Oluranti Adebule today. It makes me happy to know that you are solidly behind the move for continuity in Lagos, a move which I assure you will prosper us all”, he said.

He promised not to discriminate anyone as he outlined his resolve to employ his experience in making Lagos state work for all her residents. He also promised the completion of the Light rail project and Badagry Expressway within a year, stating that as one of the many dividends of a government of continuity.

While urging the Traders not to sell their votes, he gave the assurance of a better economy when the APC is elected at all levels in the forthcoming elections. He stated his preparedness for continuous engagement with the leadership of the association in order to foster the fruitful relationship that exists between the government and the association.
