Ambode meets Itire Chiefs and Community Members

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode today met with the Royal family and community members of the Itire community. At the meeting held in the palace of the Onitire of Itire, he reassured them of creating a prosperous Lagos when elected as their next Executive Governor.

In his welcome address, His Royal Majesty, Oba Lateef Dauda, spoke assuredly that the entire Itire community has always been for the APC, and it is their resolve to maintain their allegiance to the party that has given steady progress to Lagos state.

In his own address, the Olori Ebi of Itire, Alhaji Buhari Oloto, urged the Itire electorate ps to actively partake in the polls by making sure they all got their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs). He added that wisdom lies in voting for the APC in Lagos to sustain the laudable works of the party in the state.

Ambode thanked them for the glaring show of support, while giving reference to the mammoth crowd that heralded his roadshow into the community. He promised to employ his experience and the grace of God to give a better livelihood to the people of Itire and all Lagosians.

He said, “Our aspiration in the next four years is to create a prosperous Lagos for all. I assure you that you and your children will partake in it. Prosperity for the now and prosperity for the future, that is what this quest for continuity is all about”.

The Royal Fathers together used the medium to urge the members and their children to shun violence as the elections draw nearer, and more importantly not to sell their votes.

The Asiwaju of Itire, Chief Adisa Olatunji, Ajiroba of Itire, Alhaji Idowu Sanni and the Otunoba of Itire, Alhaji Tajudeen Odubiyi, together with all other title Chiefs gave their blessings to Ambode.
